I believe every part of us has a purpose. My approach as a therapist is to help my clients understand themselves with compassion. I work with individuals across the lifespan and specialize in treating complex trauma and survivors of abuse, ADHD and Autism, and major life stressors, such as divorce or loss. Coping with trauma, life stress, or constant sensory overload and masking can leave you feeling off balance and emotionally overwhelmed. It can affect your self esteem and your ability to trust others. I use a combination of insight-oriented therapy and practical tools to help you make choices in accordance with your values.
I offer outpatient therapy services to teenagers and adults in both English and Spanish. I see clients in OR and NY and work with clients who travel between both states for work or school. I take a top down (logical brain), bottom up (emotional brain) approach to help my clients self-soothe and cope while gaining insight into their emotional reactions.
If you are struggling with trauma, the challenges that come along with neurodivergence, or major life stressors, you are not alone. If you have been hurt, abused, or traumatized, it can be hard to trust and painful to delve into the core of your suffering. I believe strongly in resilience and self-determination and will work with you at your own pace.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
