My name is Kaite (they/them), and I am a queer, neurodivergent, nonbinary therapist. I specialize in working with other queer and neurodiverse individuals to heal from trauma, manage depression and anxiety, and find ways to thrive in a world that was not designed with you in mind.
I help by utilizing a variety of approaches in my practice, working with you to find strategies and techniques that align with your goals. I am trained in EMDR and CPT, but I also use DBT, MBCBT, ACT, IFS, somatic techniques, and artistic expression as modalities to help you reprocess and heal from trauma. In our first few sessions, you can expect a therapeutic space that is empowering, sensitive to your needs, and based on collaboration rather than looking at you as a problem to be fixed. My practice is unique because I approach healing from a holistic framework that takes all of your identities, experiences, and goals in mind rather than choosing a one size fits all approach.
I am passionate about this work because I also know what it’s like to struggle after experiencing trauma, especially when trying to navigate complex medical systems where other providers do not look or experience the world like you do. I firmly stand with all marginalized groups and actively work within an antiracist, feminist, neurodiverse, and gender-affirming lens.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your continued journey towards mental wellbeing!
