Priyanka Maudgal
Provider Types
This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:
- Clinical Social Work/Therapists
As a South Asian, queer, and neurodiverse individual, my intersecting identities have deeply informed my therapeutic practice. I understand the complexities of growing up in an Asian American household while navigating additional layers of identity like gender, sexuality, and disability. These personal experiences and my background in social work and psychology have enabled me to empathize with those who share similar identities and have felt unheard, often caught between different aspects of who they are and who they want to be. In other words, I see you and I hear you.
I believe that you know yourself best. Your decision to seek services already demonstrates a strong desire for change. As a clinician, I view my role not as someone who "fixes", but as a supportive guide on your journey. My approach is rooted in compassion, providing tools, and gentle direction, as I firmly believe in your capacity for transformation. I aim to create both a safe environment to reflect on experiences and a brave space that encourages personal growth.I draw from liberatory and anti-racist approaches because I believe it is equally important to situate ourselves within the broader systems that shape our experiences. I also recognize the power of creativity in healing, and can incorporate art and narrative therapy to help you retell your story in a way that best resonates with you.
Given my background and clinician aspirations, I am particularly passionate about working with South Asian/BIPOC individuals and those from other varied backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse people. I look forward to being a part of your journey!
