If you're exhausted from feeling misunderstood or unable to be your full self, you deserve a therapist who supports, understands, and affirms you. I draw on my lived experience to create an open-minded space where you can feel free to be yourself. Together, we can make sense of your experiences and build a life that feels more authentic, fulfilling, and sustainable. I work with adults and teens (13+) who are seeking support related to Autism, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, and more. As a Black, neurodivergent, queer therapist, I am especially passionate about supporting BIPOC, neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ clients. My perspective and lived experiences also shape my approach to creating an affirming, individualized space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to navigate challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion. With deep respect for the privilege of being invited into clients' lives, I take a collaborative, active approach to therapy, helping clients turn self-awareness into meaningful, lasting change. I draw from mind-body approaches to invite clients to slow down, notice their emotional and physical experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. I also recognize that expanding beyond what feels safe and familiar can feel overwhelming, especially when shame or frustration arise. For this reason, I prioritize connection and trust as the foundation for healing, allowing us to explore what may be keeping you "stuck" with care, compassion, and curiosity.

My main approaches are person-centered therapy, psychodynamic, existential, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. I believe the interpersonal process in therapy sessions is really important for therapeutic effectiveness which can bring you new experiences and insights. I would like to openly discuss about what kinds of methods are exactly working for you. Therapy is not only a treatment which is provided by therapist, also a cooperation between both of us. I would also emphasize the equality and genuineness among therapy. I believe every people is expert for their own life, sometimes we will neglect our own potential. I would also appreciate and respect all people's belief, attitude, and identity. I hold non-judgement attitude for client. There's no right and wrong in life. As a past international student, I’m able to validate the feelings of: challenge, hardness, loneliness, stress, and helplessness that every client is going through. I hope I can provide a safe space for you to talk, and offer you support as best as I can. I know life has too many unspoken moments, which does not only happen during language translation. I hope to create a place for you when you are in need. Every feeling is important, you are important.

I am a clinical psychologist specializing in working with young adults and students. I spent 10 years on staff at various university counseling centers around the country and now work in private practice doing individual psychotherapy in Illinois and New York. If you're feeling stuck in cycles you can't quite explain and want to understand yourself more fully, I can help. With over 20 years in clinical practice, I provide psychotherapy and assessment for adults with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. My psychotherapy approach is psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, and trauma-informed. Together, we will explore how your symptoms may have developed as adaptations to difficult life experiences, identify recurring patterns and discover where change is possible. Part of our work is developing a way of listening that tunes in not only to what is being said but also to what remains unspoken. I provide personality and adult ADHD assessments. In my view, assessment is not simply a way to assign a diagnosis, but an opportunity to answer longstanding questions and recognize strengths alongside patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I have a particular interest in working with adults from immigrant backgrounds. Living between cultures can leave you feeling unsure where you belong or wondering how to stay true to yourself while remaining connected to your family and community. I offer a culturally attuned and respectful space where these experiences can be explored with self-compassion.
