Facing challenges can be difficult for all of us. Some seek therapy in moments of crisis; others are motivated by alleviating uncomfortable feelings and thoughts that can include anxiety, depression, sadness, anger, and so on. Still others seek treatment as part of self-discovery. It’s a privilege to support my clients through their courageous journeys of self-understanding that leads to an improved sense of wellbeing, regardless of the challenges they face. In my opinion, strength is not the absence of problems, but rather having the resilience to face them. I am looking to work with young adults who want to be their best selves. With over a decade of experience treating adolescents and families, I have helped numerous individuals and families experiencing symptoms related to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, social struggles, addictive behaviors, LGBTQ+ concerns, and more. I mindfully adapt my therapeutic approach to the needs of each client. In talking with me, you will find a therapist who is eager to lead with his ear in order to meet you where you are. My style is compassionate, empathic, welcoming, relational, empowering, and probing. I bring a sense of humor and creativity to our sessions. Your unique challenges require a flexible, evidenced-based, and individualized method of support.
I am a solution-focused therapist who meets clients where they are at with compassion, but also help to build strategies on how to cope with life. I incorporate a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing to help adolescents and young adults find healthy ways to work through stressors.
Are you motivated to make a change or create more insight into thoughts and feelings? I am here to assist you with a wide range of emotional, behavioral and relational challenges in areas such as: handling life transitions, personal growth, managing stress, social anxiety, communication, family conflict, loss, coping with depression and anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and mood issues.
My approach to therapy is highly warm and collaborative. I tailor evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT, ACT-informed) that align with my patients expressed personal goals, unique experiences, background/culture, and spiritual beliefs. I have specialty training in behavioral medicine, and hold a philosophy of care grounded in the reciprocal mind/body connection. I have particular specialty in treating physical health conditions through psychological interventions including chronic pain and medically unexplained physical symptoms; however, I support clients with an array of other presenting concerns (Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Stress, Eating. Disorders).
I affiliate with cognitive behavioral approach to treatment (CBT), as well as acceptance commitment therapy (ACT). As a CBT and ACT therapist, my approach is distinguished by forward-looking, positive and goal-oriented approach, with the ultimate outcome of providing you with a set of skills improving your life. When I meet my clients for the first time, we may decide to seek solutions to ADHD, OCD, anxiety or depression. In each situation, therapy aims to support skill development and fosters a sense of balance, or equanimity.
When everything feels like too much, therapy shouldn’t add to the pressure. I'm a liberatory therapist working with kids and adults facing life transitions and overwhelm. I don’t believe in forcing people to fit systems that weren’t built for them. Instead, I center you—your needs, your truth, and your pace. Using humanistic and cognitive approaches, I offer a grounded space where we can explore what’s hard, celebrate your strengths, and move toward a more authentic sense of self. With compassion, humor, and curiosity, we’ll challenge the stories that are holding you back—and build new ones that feel like yours.

My clients often seek therapy when they are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or burnt out. They are amidst a transition — starting college, beginning or ending a relationship, changing jobs, or becoming a parent. Others are feeling stuck and need support navigating friendships, partnerships, family dynamics, and careers. I believe that effective therapy happens when the client and therapist have an authentic, trusting relationship, and the client is invested in their healing. Therapy is a dynamic conversation geared towards your needs-to be challenged, validated, empowered, or understood; every session is designed to meet you where you are both that day and in their overall therapeutic journey. I value the use of humor and authentic connection. I primarily utilize psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and attachment theory, all within a trauma informed lens. Current and past clients have highlighted that they valued my authenticity as a person and provider, that I created a non-judgmental, accepting, and empathetic space where they felt truly seen and cared for, and that our work together has been valuable and healing. Hi! I’m Jocelyn, a psychiatric nurse practitioner passionate about supporting women and anyone who identifies with womanhood through life’s ups and downs. I specialize in helping clients manage ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma, and I have a special interest in perinatal mental health. College and young adulthood can bring so many transitions—new responsibilities, shifting identities, and sometimes overwhelming stress. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can feel seen and supported. In our sessions, I combine medication management with brief, solution-focused therapy to help you better understand your mind, build coping skills, and feel more balanced day to day. I especially enjoy working with BIPOC, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ students and young adults who are exploring growth, healing, and self-discovery.
I tend to work best with students who are struggling with relationships, attachment, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with notice patterns in their relationships feeling anxious, overthinking, fearing abandonment, homesick or feeling like they give more than they receive. Others may be going through changes in friendships, family dynamics, dating, or figuring out who they are and what they want. College and young adulthood can bring a lot of change, and sometimes those transitions can bring up deeper emotions or past experiences that affect how we connect with others. In therapy, I focus on creating a space where you can be open and honest without feeling judged. Together we explore relationship patterns, emotional responses, and what might be underneath them. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build healthier relationships, set boundaries, and feel more confident navigating change.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with individuals 13yo+ and offers individual and family therapy. In addition to my private practice, I spent the last eight years working at acute care programs at McLean Hospital with adolescents and their parents, supervised pre- and postdoctoral trainees, and carried an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School. I actively participate in sessions by asking questions and collaborating with you in order to help you achieve your goals. My patients utilize sessions in various ways, such as processing the challenges they are facing and stressful aspects of their lives, working on developing insight into relationship patterns, learning more effective methods of coping, eliciting feedback to communicate their needs more effectively to their supports, better understanding and learning to more effectively manage the intensity of their emotions, exploring various facets of their identity, processing shame and factors impacting their self-esteem, finding ways to live more consistently by their values, and better understanding and/or changing unhelpful behaviors or patterns. I integrate evidence-based treatment interventions, as needed and in a flexible way, to empower you to reduce the impact of your symptoms. I respect that everyone's goals and needs in therapy are different so I am happy to work with you short-term for skills-based work or to work through a time-limited issue, or on an ongoing, longer-term basis. My patients have described me as curious, compassionate, funny, validating, and thoughtful, as well as direct when needed. I look forward to meeting you and please feel free to reach out to ask questions if you have them!
Welcome! Working with a diverse population for many years widen my appreciation toward everyone I encounter in the therapy room. My new clients often ask me, “What is your approach or therapy model?” Learning from years valuable experience, I do not take a blueprint or “one-size-fits-all” approach for clients. Every client has an individualized curriculum. You may be feeling distressed, facing difficulties in your personal or professional relationships, contemplating a major life transition, or navigating a health crisis. No matter what challenge brings, I will help you in resolving conflicts and strengthening your relationships. I will explore your options in a collaborative way while taking into consideration the hopes, expectations, values, and preferences that are significant to you. Using clinical sophistication and expertise I incorporate humility, kindness, and passion to create a caring environment. My life experience encompasses living in the Eastern hemisphere and Western hemisphere; also working in East coast and West coast of the U.S. It enriches me to carefully examine things in different angles and not “boxing people in” with narrowly defined categories. I also provide supervision for all learning stages. I look forward to meeting you!
