I became a therapist to provide support and affirmation to folks with systemically oppressed identities (e.g., trans and queer folks, ADHDers, kinksters, chronically ill/disabled folks, POC, cis women). I am dedicated to working with individuals facing interpersonal, life, and identity-related challenges, such as navigating gender roles and emerging adulthood (college and grad students welcome!). I collaborate with clients on a variety of concerns, such as anxiety, relationships/dating, boundaries, difference in views/beliefs from family of origin, and imposter syndrome. In my work, I use approaches such as Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients. I like to mix in gentleness, deep exploration, celebration, and the occasional “dad joke” to our work. My clients tell me this approach makes them feel truly heard, learn to advocate for themselves, and move toward their values. I believe that you deserve frank, warm support and to not be handled with kid gloves (or the dreaded, overly soothing “therapist voice”). If you want to invite me onto your therapy journey, I’d be thrilled to hear from you. I offer a free, 15 minute consultation to discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and to tell you more about what I can offer you. My Background and Approach I am devoted to building genuine, nourishing connections with my clients. My graduate training focused on providing multiculturally affirming therapy to people of a variety of backgrounds and intersecting identities. I also trained in evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to aid clients in achieving their therapeutic goals. I have specialized training in working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and the young adult population, both in university and community health settings. Last, I bring my lived experience as a Queer, White, chronically ill, genderqueer being to my work with clients. I own my privilege and discuss, as it arises, power dynamics that may occur between us due to our identities, beliefs, and experiences. I believe these conversations are critical for full honesty and trust in your mental health journey.
I have a specialty in treating OCD and Addictions using IFS (Internal Family Systems) Therapy, EMDR, and AEDP Therapy. However, I do see people for a wide range of other issues aside from my two specialties. I am certified in Both IFS and EMDR Therapy. I invite couples, adolescents and adults to identify strengths, acknowledge challenges and develop strategies to solve a range of problems. We can explore ways to save and enhance your relationship. In the first session, I teach tools that you can use immediately to enhance your partnership, open the lines of communication and reconnect as a couple. If you are an overwhelmed parent, I can help you reach out to your teen by employing techniques that can be used in the moment. My professional experience encompasses coping with anxiety, managing chronic illness, grieving losses and achieving balance for an enriched life. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, reality-based and solution- focused. I also provide psychodynamic insight-oriented therapy if a more in depth exploration of issues is requested. My experience and training include relationship issues, crises related to life transitions, developmental stages, adolescent concerns, couples issues, PTSD, chronic illness, and loss. I am in a small group practice at Solutions for Living. We work within a relationship based model that emphasizes strengths, supports self care planning, encourages mindfulness and incorporates stress reduction. We also remain well informed with regard to evidence based techniques, proven theories and research.
I believe finding the right therapist is a major part of successful therapy. I love to work with individuals and couples in a solution focused way where I can support them as well as provide feedback and tools to help navigate towards each person's personal goals. I have a wide range of experience in a variety of mental health concerns and especially love working with people managing the stressors of any relationships, dating, marriage, anxiety, life changes and life adjustments. I want to make sure that anyone who sees me feels they are benefiting from therapy and working towards a better quality of life.

With over 10 years of experience, I feel deeply honored by the trust clients place in me when they open their hearts and share their inner world. I have experience with trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and relational problems. My passion for working with diverse populations led me to pursue the Global Mental Health: Immigration and Trauma Certificate from Harvard University. I strive to see my clients beyond their diagnoses and to raise awareness of the societal and cultural challenges that may prevent them from fulfilling their true potential I work best with high-achieving individuals who may appear successful outwardly but feel overwhelmed or uncertain internally. Many of my clients are immigrants or from multicultural backgrounds, navigating identity, belonging, and the pressures of academic or professional life, while also seeking to align their success with deeper meaning, purpose, and spirit
