Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, OCD and related disorders, and longer-standing patterns of emotion dysregulation. I offer a warm, compassionate, and validating approach to evidence-based psychotherapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention. I am particularly passionate about using mindfulness principles to help clients access these treatments. I have been providing therapy to individuals with a range of concerns for over 7 years. I received my PhD from Yale University in clinical psychology in 2020 and my BA in psychology with a minor in music from Cornell University in 2012. I completed predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where I currently work as a staff psychologist at the OCD Institute and The Pavilion. I do my very best to meet my clients where they are at in their lives, deeply empathize with them, and then gently and at their pace, help them move towards any changes they hope to realize in their lives. I am currently accepting new clients & have evening openings. As your therapist, I strive to create a space in which you feel comfortable to explore your inner world in a deep and meaningful way. I work to provide support while challenging any maladaptive patterns. Therapy can help deepen insight, create healthier thinking and habits, and explore strengths while healing. My therapeutic approach is strengths-based and client-centered, and together we can help you realize your potential. I incorporate CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused, and trauma-informed therapy, depending on the specific needs and preferences of each of my clients. My practice specializes in adolescents and adults. I work with individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their lives due to life transitions, anxiety, low self-esteem, mood disorders, and more. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to support and challenge you to create healthier balance and reach your goals. With my therapy clients, I believe that the healing comes from having a strong, genuine connection between the client and the therapist. My goal is to provide empathy, support, and validation in order to encourage my clients to feel comfortable exploring their inner experiences and making healthy and positive changes.
As a therapist, I take a collaborative approach with patients to relieve distress, improve well-being, and develop new insights. Together, we will identify patterns in living that you want to change, and discover how prior experiences have shaped your emotional life, relationships, and behavior, perhaps in ways that are outside of your awareness. I treat patients who experience anxiety, depression, difficulties in relationships, challenges related to work and career, and stress that is related to life transitions. My approach to therapy is interactive and open-ended, with a focus on helping you to learn about yourself and to find new, more fulfilling ways of living. With all of my patients, I work to build a relationship that holds the potential for you to discover new possibilities for yourself. I seek to have a practice that is diverse with regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, and ability/disability status. The process of therapy includes exploration of all aspects of identity, including how both marginalization and privilege shape experience. This exploration includes processing how identity is experienced in the therapeutic dyad, and understanding how similarities and differences between the patient and therapist shape the therapeutic process. I welcome hearing from you to discuss the possibility of setting up an initial consultation. Together, we can determine if I can meet your needs as a therapist.
You might seem like you’re holding it all together, but inside feel overwhelmed or disconnected. Many high-achieving students carry the weight of expectations from family, culture, and society. I help students work through identity questions, relationship concerns, stress, burnout, imposter feelings, and the impact of trauma. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. Effective therapy creates meaningful, lasting, joyful change. As your therapist I can help you resolve the inner and outer conflicts that create pain and exhaustion. Life brings unchosen experiences. Sometimes we feel hurt, scared, or deeply alone. Sometimes what happens seems too big to manage. For 25+ years I have had the privilege of helping people learn to live as their "best self," able to manage their moods, thoughts and situations with compassion and skill, to make changes to reach their goals, and to find happiness. I lived and worked in Africa for 6 years, and have helped people from many cultures find their joy. My specialty is helping people understand their unique "recipe" of biology, upbringing, relationships, and current situations, and how they might work with their "ingredients" to create immediate and long-lasting positive change. My approach is practical. I integrate psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies, internal and strategic family systems, EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches, and mindfulness-based stress management. Depression, anxiety, loneliness, frustration, pulls towards behaviors that lead to pain...whatever is interfering with your well-being is worth changing. Together we can produce change. Please EMAIL
Therapy is a unique space to explore and organize your internal emotional experiences, feel more satisfied in your interpersonal relationships, better manage and tolerate a broad range of emotions, and experience new ways of relating more meaningfully to yourself and others. Through carefully exploring your emotional and relational experiences, both past and present, you may develop a deeper sense of self-understanding, wholeness, and a renewed capacity for joy and purpose. I work from a primarily relational and psychodynamic orientation, though I am flexible in engaging with the specific needs of each client. My work is informed by a commitment to social justice and an attunement to the many social realities that influence trauma and distress. I seek to honor your multiple intersecting identities and actively explore the interaction of these with my own and within the larger culture. My goal is for clients to experience a deeper sense of safety and healing. I have 12 years of expertise working with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety and depression, adjustment and life transition issues, identity concerns, relational conflicts, spiritual and/or religious issues, and grief and loss. In addition to working with both MA- and CA-based clients in my private practice, I work as a psychologist at UCLA. Prior to this, I completed my postdoc fellowship at Boston College University Counseling Services and worked as a staff psychologist there for 3 additional years, so I thoroughly enjoy working with BC students. I look forward to connecting with you!

During my career of being a therapist for over a decade, I have found that the working relationship is pivotal for any change to happen in therapy. I take great care to foster a sense of emotional safety so exploration, processing, and developing new understandings and patterns of interaction with one’s self, others, and the world may take place. I enjoy working with undergraduate and graduate university students, young adults, and working professionals who experience difficulties with general distress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and ADHD. By using elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, contemporary psychodynamic therapy, and emotional focused therapy I ally with people to aid them in learning more about themselves while dislodging obstacles that may be present in their lives and relationships. I am passionate about helping people who are currently feeling like they are struggling in their lives and working with them to achieve what they envision their life to be through either weekly individual or couple therapy sessions. If you desire to see lasting changes in your work, life, and your relationships, I encourage you to reach out to me, so we can talk more about what you are trying to achieve through therapy.
