College can be exciting, but it can also be stressful and overwhelming. You may be struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, family concerns, or the impact of difficult experiences from the past. Therapy offers a space to better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges, and build stronger relationships with yourself and others. Many of the students I work with are thoughtful, capable, and hard on themselves. They care deeply about their relationships, responsibilities, and future, but often find themselves overwhelmed or carrying more than they know how to manage. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Sometimes what people need most isn't advice or a quick fix, but a place to explore what's happening, gain perspective, and determine what feels right for you. If this resonates with you, I'd be happy to connect. Feel free to reach out or schedule a free consultation to see if working together feels like a good fit.

After working in the mental health field for nearly 15 years, specifically in crisis intervention, I set out on a new path to work with people before life becomes unbearable. Most recently, I served as a high school mental health counselor. Flexibility and openness are two of my core values. Do you know what you value? Understanding what we care about most and what brings meaning to our lives is essential to living with intention and living well. I believe therapy is about exploring these values along with memories, current circumstances, and feelings in order to help the present-self move forward. Too often we drift through our days without asking for the support we need because it can feel as though we are not worthy of that focus. Please know that you are worthy of that focus because once you do, positive change and growth are not only possible, but inevitable. My passion is to center each person I work with and learn how they experience the world around them. My background thus far has been working with youth and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal ideation, identity issues, self-harm, and school frustration. I hold a bachelor's degree in Spanish and a masters in social work (MSW) from Portland State University. Outside of my work, I love to run, play video games, and have always been into playing/watching sports. There is no song I wouldn't try to karaoke even though I'm, like, an objectively bad singer.

I spent 25 years in the education system, so I know firsthand how college can be an exciting, wonderful time or an incredibly isolating experience. On top of schoolwork (which that alone can be enormously stressful), you might have work, personal goals, relationship problems, family stress, pets, roommate problems, all at a time when you really want to focus on figuring out who you are and what you want your future to be like. The modern university system is not set up to produce happy, well-adjusted people with a clear sense of belonging in a community. My focus is helping you define and achieve your goals, and find peace in the journey. despite (or with) the overwhelming stressors in your life.

Hi! I'm Dana. I help clients who struggle with anxiety, shame, perfectionism, or a harsh inner critic to find greater peace, self-compassion and healthier boundaries and relationships. College and early adulthood can be hard - figuring out who you are, who you want to be, how to manage the stress of school, new careers, relationships, living away from home, and adulting. In addition to my education and experience as a counselor, I have a master’s in higher education and 12 years of experience working with college students on college campus, with a focus on supporting international students. I have the background and knowledge to help you feel grounded and equipped to navigate your college experience. I would be honored to walk alongside you as we work together to help you feel less stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious. I want to support you as you gain insight and develop skills that will help you to have better days ahead. You don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to help. Sometime we need help with today's stress or past experiences. I worked in college counseling at large state schools and small liberal arts campus for five years. I have knowledge about how to navigate campus systems and some unique aspects of college life. I love walking with folks through life transitions, including entering or exiting college and grad school, and relationships. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual assault, and dissociation. I was trained as a generalist mental health counselor and have held positions as a trauma specialist. I have a passion for working with queer folks, nonbinary folks, and trans individuals. I enjoy working with neurodivergent clients. I believe that trust and choice are essential to therapy. Therapy can increase understanding of your emotions and mind. This understanding can increase feelings of empowerment and trust in yourself. I am EMDRIA certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). If you are curious if we are a good fit, please reach out for a free 15 minute virtual consultation!

Hi, I'm glad you're here. My name is Gabby Hancher (they/them). I’m a white, trans nonbinary, and queer associate therapist who has lived experience with chronic illness. I currently reside on the traditional homelands of the Clackamas, Cowlitz, and Multnomah Indigenous peoples known as Portland, OR. I am currently working towards licensure and under the clinical supervision of Quinn Rivenburgh and Selin Strait. As a young person, I often felt very different from my peers. I was highly sensitive, creative, and attuned to much of the suffering around me. The overwhelming chaos of my childhood led me to my own healing path and eventually communities who accepted me for my contemplative nature. By embracing the truth of my experiences, I found healing modalities such as Hakomi which allowed me the space to make deep internal shifts towards being my whole self. I hope to offer this same experience to you. As a therapist, I bring a playful and emotionally attuned approach with an orientation towards mindful, experiential theories such as Hakomi. Our time together will always be collaborative and informed by the wisdom of your own lived experience. Together we can explore the deep inner knowing that your body holds in order to help you thrive. In a typical session, we will slow down and listen to the wisdom of your body. Together, we can discover what it is that you need to process in order to experience more integration in your life. We may work to support your own innate resilience by developing a felt sense of safety based on your own true sense of that or use the therapeutic relationship as a container to explore attachment wounding patterns through our present moment relationship. All of these experiences can offer fundamental shifts in your overall mood, the way you show up in the world, or even in your relationships. Whether you are experiencing difficulty with grief, relationships, anxiety or any number of concerns, together we can help you orient towards your inner knowing and personal agency. I approach all of my work through a social justice lens and believe deeply that when we transform on an interpersonal level, social change ripples outwards. Accessibility, embodied experience, and trauma-informed care are important pillars of my practice. Persons of all races & ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and abilities are welcome. I am also affirming of kink, non-traditional relationship structures such as polyamory and non-monogamy, and sex work. Some of my identities hold varying levels of privilege which I always invite conversation around in session. If you are interested in utilizing the insurances I accept, please email me at: gabby@bridgestg.com. If you are interested in private pay, please message me through my linked website. Outside of session, I can be found practicing magic in nature, reading comics under a cozy blanket, or making strange artistic creations for my loved ones. ~~~~~~~ I work best with: *Collaborative individuals *Folks who are curious about mindfulness *Folks who are creative and/or highly sensitive *Folks who identify as care-givers *Activists looking to process and integrate their experiences *Adult parentified children *Perfectionists *Queer folks who want to explore their identity more deeply *Neurodivergent individuals *Folks who feel they've gotten what they can from talk therapy and need something else *Folks who want a better relationship with their body *Folks who are committed to long-term therapeutic work At this time, I am not able to treat or assist with the following: *Couples *Disordered Eating *Substance Use/Addiction Disorders *Personality Disorders *Folks with Severe & Persistant mental health challenges *OCD and Phobias *Folks who are in high levels of crisis/instability and may need team-based care *Folks who are looking for exclusively talk therapy

I treat anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, with specialized experience in helping survivors heal from sexual abuse. I enjoy working with people who are exploring their wants and needs, their role within their family, developing boundaries and effective communication within relationships, and the mind-body connection. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for people to process challenges they are facing in the present, traumas from the past, and anxieties about the future. I am a licensed art therapist, which can be a great fit for those wanting to process thoughts and feelings using creative means. I work primarily with queer and neurodivergent clients. My ideal client is someone experiencing disconnection from their authentic self or is trying to unmask. They might be experiencing anxiety, depression, or emotional triggers related to past traumas with which they are struggling. Perhaps they are interested in understanding more about their neurodivergence and ways to build supportive systems to address symptoms. I am honored to help with navigating questions of identity, gender, sexuality, and building relationships with oneself and others. I offer a collaborative, client-centered approach incorporating elements of Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory, EMDR, mindfulness techniques, and creativity to find a framework for therapy that works for each client. We will work together to find meaningful goals for you, and then work together to achieve them. For whatever reason, we all may feel like an Awkward Turtle sometimes and retreat into our shells. Underneath the weight of all of the expectations placed on us, however, we are all unique in our own beautiful ways. I created Awkward Turtle Therapy to help others learn to explore and love the parts of themselves they have felt compelled to hide.

I work with teens, college students, and adults of all ages who are navigating anxiety, ADHD, identity exploration, life transitions, and more. My clients often describe me as approachable, creative, and affirming. I proudly identify as queer, gender non-conforming, and neurodivergent — and I deeply value creating a space where folks feel seen, heard, and supported as their full selves. Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in senior services, disability advocacy, and holistic health. In 2016, a turning point in my own mental health journey helped me realize how powerful compassionate, well-rounded care can be. That experience inspired me to return to school and become a therapist myself. While attending Portland State University, I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 42 — a moment that gave me greater insight and drive to support others on similar paths. In therapy, I integrate tools from DBT, ACT, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed care, and I love working with folks who are looking for something a little different than traditional talk therapy. With your consent as our foundation, we’ll work together to clarify your goals and build practical, meaningful strategies that support your growth. Please note: I don’t routinely offer initial consultation calls, except by special request. Feel free to check out my website at www.dynamic-therapy-alliance.com, and if you have questions or want to get a sense of fit, you’re always welcome to send me an email. I’d be honored to support you on your journey.

I help adults, couples, and families who feel trapped in a cycle of loneliness and disconnection, cut off from themselves, and unhappy with the trajectory of their relationships and life goals. I have also been an instructor and lecturer at various universities and colleges for over 12 years and understand the unique stress students face in situations such as navigating relationships within student cohort communities, dealing with out-of-touch professors and administration, facing non-exclusive environments, and dealing with staff and student health services. I prioritize confidentiality and privacy, helping you access available services with confidence and make informed decisions about your college experience without regretting the sacrifices you make to attend college. I have over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist and dance movement therapist, specializing in treating anxiety, depression, loneliness, intimacy, communication problems, learning differences, self-esteem, health issues, life transitions, grief & loss, professional/work issues, and family and relationship stress and estrangement, ensuring comprehensive support for your unique needs. My work involves creating a safe, neutral space where we can engage in open dialogue and work systematically with empathy toward healing, growth, and solutions, guiding you through a clear, collaborative process. I enjoy working with people who are nervous about beginning therapy or have never participated in couples or family estrangement counseling.
