The number one complaint I hear from my clients about past experiences with therapy is how impersonal and detached their experience felt. They craved more warmth, and a vested interest from their therapist in their growth — an ideal mixture of sincerity, kindness, advocacy, and accountability. Tailor-made for women, my approach weaves together all of these elements, creating a container that provides powerful and life-changing results. A sense of feeling safe, seen, and understood takes precedence over “fixing things,” since I don’t buy into the belief that any of us are broken to begin with. So, if you’re struggling with things like high anxiety, low-self worth, or simply feeling lost, then you’ve come to the right place. Together, we will work to break past your limiting behaviors and create space for self-compassion, deep emotional healing, and enriching relationships.
You deserve to feel empowered while reaching your potential - without losing yourself along the way. You don't need to walk this path alone. My goal is to help you reclaim hope and inner peace of mind. Let's connect to explore how counseling can support your growth toward becoming your best self. This is your life. You deserve to feel empowered each day. Together, we can overcome obstacles while bringing balance back into your life. You need not carry the weight of self-doubt nor drain your reserves trying to keep up false appearances. Help is available to honor your multidimensional self. If you yearn to perform at your peak while cultivating authenticity and soul-nourishment. The first step is showing up for yourself. I'm here to listen and guide you the rest of the way.

I work best with women who are navigating major life transitions and feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves. Many of my clients are in seasons like pregnancy, postpartum, early motherhood, or adjusting to shifting roles and identities. They may struggle with anxiety, mood changes, emotional overwhelm, or feeling like they’ve lost a sense of who they are. My clients often care deeply about their families but feel exhausted trying to hold everything together. They may feel unseen, invalidated, or alone in their experiences. They want a space where they can be honest without judgment and begin to understand themselves more clearly. If you’re looking for support that feels compassionate, grounded, and focused on helping you reconnect with yourself, you’re likely a great fit for my practice.
It has been a privilege to have worked in the social work field for over 13 years in the state of Texas in various settings that have included long-term care, hospital settings, inpatient hospice, home health, foster and adoption, Alzheimer's and dementia care, private practice and now clinical supervision. I received my bachelor's in social work from Texas Woman's University and my master's in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I spent my post-graduate 2-year clinicals preparing to work in private practice and specialize in trauma and serving our veteran population. I am a native Texan who loves being a wife and mother, and I'm an avid nature lover with a passion for animals and for reading! I take the upmost care to provide a warm, caring and judgement-free approach in my treatment. It's daunting to sit with a stranger and discuss painful and sometimes traumatic details, and I strive to provide a safe and comfortable space to every client. I am trained and practiced in using many therapeutic modalities and approaches including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and many more. I place great importance on getting to know you with a comprehensive intake and assessment and appropriate diagnosis. A diagnosis isn't meant to be a label, but it is vital to ensuring that you receive the right therapy modality for your needs. There is no one size fits all approach in therapy!

Hi! I am a licensed professional counselor and graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. I also hold a Master degree in School Counseling. My pursuit of a counseling degree began after 9 years of teaching elementary students. That experience helped me come to terms with my passion for students to succeed in every aspect of their lives.
Hi, I'm Kate! As a therapist in Dallas, I help young adults navigating life stress and identity issues break free from unhelpful patterns by collaborating with them to uncover what they need so that they can feel empowered to create a fulfilling, meaningful life. I specialize in working with couples on issues like conflict resolution, communication, and premarital preparation, as well as supporting twenty-somethings through life stress, identity exploration, and dating challenges. We offer trauma informed therapy for children, teens, and adults, in-person in South Austin, telehealth available to all Texas residents. I specialize in helping women in their 20s and 30s who are struggling with anxiety in relationships and sex, or those who are processing past sexual trauma or toxic relationships. Many of my clients notice patterns or traits within themselves which are impacting their relationships and intimacy, leaving them feeling disconnected and at a loss for what might help. In addition to my work with adults, I also enjoy working with children and adolescents (ages 3-18), especially those who are neurodivergent or highly sensitive. With a background as a Preschool Teacher, a Registered Behavior Technician working with children on the Autism Spectrum, and as a long-time babysitter, I am able to connect deeply with young people to help them feel understood. My personal experience growing up with undiagnosed ADHD, which manifested as an inability to regulate my emotions, extreme sensitivity, and emotional outbursts, informs this work. I approach this work as an opportunity to nurture my own inner child and offer the support I wish I’d had growing up. I utilize a client-centered, strengths-based approach to play therapy in order to help the children I work with feel safe to express themselves authentically. My approach is compassionate and trauma-informed, integrating Nervous System Regulation, Somatic Experiencing, Attachment Theory, and Trauma-Informed Care to help you rebuild trust in yourself and cultivate healthier relationships. My priority is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable exploring your emotions and experiences without judgment. In our work together, we’ll explore your past and present, identify patterns, and create a plan for healing.
I am passionate about helping young adults navigate the transitions, questions, and challenges that come with becoming who they are, on their own. Whether you’re facing anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, or simply feeling lost in the process of change, therapy can be a place to reconnect with your inner compass. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in mindfulness and self-awareness. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that keep you stuck and cultivate tools to help you feel more balanced, resilient, and at home within yourself and the world around you.
Are you struggling with your relationship with food and body image? Do you over eat only to feel super guilty later? Are you constantly on a diet to 'make up for' the way you have been eating? Or are you struggling to properly nourish your body with the food it deserves because you feel you will never be thin enough? I specialize in helping adolescents and women repair their relationship with food, and overcome their eating disorders, and finally find peace with food and body.
Counseling should be affordable and accessible to everyone. We all need an ally to lean on at times. Struggles and hardships can be a natural part of life. We all need support as we navigate through stressful times. I see my role as a therapist as one of a caregiver, a provider of strength, and a collaborative problem-solver. I have experience with a wide variety of people, including individuals without a diagnosis to those diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and anxiety and depression. My practice is LGBT safe and affirming. I also have extensive experience helping people throughout the processes of both voluntary and involuntary termination of pregnancy. I enjoy providing support to my clients in an open-minded, encouraging, relaxed, non-judgmental way. It is important to me that my clients know that I support them, and that I do not judge. Life can be tough and overwhelming at times. Seeking counseling is a brave step toward a new outlook, I applaud you for that decision, and I am here to help. I pride myself on being accepting, easygoing, discreet, and affordable. I am currently accepting new clients, and I have a flexible schedule, so if you’re considering counseling, please call me. I’m happy to answer questions, provide information, and see if we’re a good fit. Supervised by Beck A Munsey, PhD, LPC-S
