If you are human, learning and living in today's complicated environment, you have probably experienced anxiety, stress and sadness. Therapy is like personal training or tutoring for feelings; it's curated one on one support to help you reach your emotional wellness goals. While totally normal, emotions can be difficult to navigate and result in suffering, numbing out with substances, acting against values, development of physical pain/illness and/or avoidance of situations and people. When emotions start to interfere with life, therapy can help. Inflow Wellness is a psychotherapy and coaching practice dedicated to helping people manage stress, re-establish life balance, and feel better through life's challenges; simply put- to ride waves of emotion and become more aligned in mind, body and heart.
Do you feel controlled by anxiety or OCD? Feeling like you have to constantly seek reassurance or perform rituals to feel better? These disorders operate on what is called a Vicious Cycle: 1) encounter trigger/obsessive thought 2) experience distress 3) engage in compulsions or safety behavior/s, which leads to 4) relief. The frustrating part about this cycle is that the relief is short-lived. Before you know it, the obsessive fear and compulsions are back, taking up more time and mental resources to cope. The good news is that together, we can end the cycle and find long-term relief. Treating OCD and Anxiety disorders require specialized training and experience. I have trained under internationally recognized psychologists, Dr. Jenny Yip and Dr. Eda Gorbis. I have worked with clients at all levels of care, including IOP, PHP, and outpatient. Currently, I provide individual and family outpatient treatment for those aged 10+, in person and via telehealth. I know therapy can be a challenging endeavor, that's why I aim to cultivate a warm and collaborative therapeutic environment, where we can defeat your OCD and Anxiety together! Feel free to reach out for a complimentary 30-minute consultation.
Life can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re carrying pain, anger, or uncertainty about who you are or where you’re going. You don’t have to face it alone. Therapy is a space to feel seen, to be heard, and to grow without judgment. If you’re ready to explore new ways of thinking, feeling, and showing up in your life, I’d be honored to walk beside you. I’m a Latino therapist who grew up in Los Angeles, and I know firsthand how powerful therapy can be. Welcome! My name is Rachel and I work with young adults who are navigating the effects of traumatic experiences. I believe that anything that overwhelms our capacity to cope and move forward can be traumatic, and this often shows up as anxiety, chronic disconnection, or feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness. I help clients become more aware of body sensations, thinking traps, and response patterns to stressful situations. We will collaborate to move towards a life where you feel more centered and connected with your self, your values, and the world around you. I approach therapy from a holistic perspective and include experiential, present-focused exercises in sessions to help deepen the mind-body connection and equip clients with tools to use in daily life. I love to walk alongside my clients towards feeling more grounded, authentic, and alive, moving at a pace that feels safe and gentle. If you are looking to reconnect with your vitality and resilience in a compassionate space, I would love to connect and see if we are a good fit. I offer virtual and in-person therapy, with the option for walk and talk sessions.

I aim to provide a supportive environment that fosters reflection and growth. I am trained to provide evidence-based treatment in a flexible manner and often pull from CBT and DBT concepts and interventions. My approach emphasizes not only the building of skills to address your mental health symptoms but also skill development in the areas of communication and conflict management toward improving relationships. While I value maintaining a generalist practice, I have special interests in working with and supporting athletes and those who identify as a member of a marginalized group. I am also invested in helping people to access care that is right for them, and will make every effort to provide additional resources/providers if I am not the right fit.

I work best with students who feel constantly overwhelmed, exhausted, or like life is harder for them than it seems to be for everyone else. Many of the students I support have spent years being told they’re “just anxious,” “too sensitive,” or “not trying hard enough,” even though they know something deeper is going on. They may struggle with focus, motivation, emotional overwhelm, sensory overload, or feeling like they have to present a certain version of themselves to get by. My approach is warm, supportive, and practical. Therapy with me focuses on helping you understand how your brain works, reduce self-blame, and build tools that actually fit your capacity so school and life feel more manageable.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with 15 years of experience treating adolescents and adults. My approach to psychotherapy is warm, empathic, and compassionate. I treat each individual professionally and with respect. I appreciate the uniqueness of each patient and emphasize listening closely and thoughtfully, as we all possess the ability to tell our story regarding our strengths and our challenges, even when we sometimes do not realize it. I strive to create a safe environment where you can feel open to express and explore your feelings and experiences, without judgment or emphasis on what is “right” or “wrong.” I believe that therapy is an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and to express our feelings freely, in an effort to learn new methods of dealing with problems, being in relationships, and pursuing our dreams. My private practice is largely informed by modern psychoanalytic theory. I provide individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy. I integrate themes of social justice throughout my practice, and am particularly thoughtful about the role that various cultural identifications, and their intersection, play in mental health and treatment. I also provide education, consultation, and training to professionals and students. A central aspect of my clinical thinking focuses on the role of power, privilege, and cultural dominance. Knowledge, concepts, and meaning are not developed on a solely individual basis, but rather are created through coordination and communication with others. Language is fundamentally important – it is the most essential way in which we construct reality. Our psychological experiences, including emotions, thoughts, somatic/bodily sensations, are subsequently developed within this context. I view problems in living, therefore, as relational, contextual, interpretive, and situated within the dominant discourse, expression, response, and cultural norms.

It can be intimidating to share thoughts and emotions with others. I strive to build a strong trusting relationship with my clients so that they can share without fear of judgment and we can better face the challenges going on in their lives. I work with clients to address major life transitions, family or relationship issues, self-harm, and emotion dysregulation such as depression and anxiety. Having worked extensively with ethnically- and gender-diverse populations, I enjoy helping adults explore their sense of identity and find meaningful roles in their communities. With training in ACT, EMDR, CBT, and the Gottman Method I create a warm, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to reach their own treatment goals - sometimes with a bit of humor along the way. My goal is to make therapy feel both effective and deeply human. My approach My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices like ACT, EMDR, and CBT. I work to create a space where you feel safe, truly heard and understood - where we can explore what's going on beneath the surface at your own pace. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, or other life challenges, we'll work together to clarify your goals and move toward meaningful change. My focus I work well with Individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma, People navigating relationship challenges (romantic, family, or interpersonal), Adults who want to feel more understood, supported, and empowered, Clients who value authenticity, warmth, and a therapist who keeps things real. My communication style In our sessions, I aim to create an open and comfortable space where you feel truly heard. I communicate warmth, honesty, and care, always focused on meeting you where you are. My approach is collaborative, so we'll work together to understand your challenges and set realistic goals. I believe in being direct, but I also understand that this work can be difficult, so I try to bring humor into the mix when appropriate, because therapy doesn't always have to be serious to be effective. My goal is for you to feel supported, empowered, and safe throughout our time together. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist started early- my mom was a therapist, so I grew up surrounded by conversations about psychology and what it means to support others. But it wasn't until I faced my own challenges and sought therapy as a young adult that I truly felt the power of this work. That experience lit a fire in my to help others the way I had been helped. I've always been fascinated by human dynamics -what makes us grow, what gives life meaning, and how we can create fulfilling connections. Training in EMDR was a turning point in my career as I got to witness people heal in powerful ways from things they'd carried for so long but didn't know how to move through. That deepened my passion even more. I continue to be inspired by voices like Brene Brown, Dr. Gabor Mate, and Dr. Lindsay Gibson, who remind me of the importance of compassion-both for ourselves and each other. That's the energy I bring into therapy: curiosity, care, and a deep belief in your capacity to heal and grow. My goals for you In our first sessions, I take time to understand your story and what changes you're hoping for. We'll set meaningful goals together using evidence-based practices, balancing structure with flexibility so we can move at your pace. I check in on progress regularly and adapt goals as needed, always working collaboratively to overcome any barriers. My hope is that as you grow, you'll learn to create the life you want. My first session with you Your first session with me is all about getting to know you and creating a space that feels safe, welcoming, and judgement-free. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore a bit of your background, and start identifying what you'd like to focus on. There's no pressure to have it all figured out-this is a time for us to slow down, connect, and begin building a relationship that supports your goals. I'll also answer any questions you have about the therapy process and what our work together might look like. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling seen, supported, and a little more hopeful about what's ahead.
