Hello, I'm Dr. Brian Schneider, and I'm delighted that you're considering taking this important step towards your mental health and well-being. With over a decade of experience in psychology, I've had the privilege of working with individuals across all stages of life, from young children and adolescents to adults and families. Whether you're dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, or relationship issues, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you can feel understood and valued. I believe that therapy is about building a strong, trusting relationship where you can comfortably share your experiences and work towards your goals. In addition to individual therapy, I have extensive experience in family and couples therapy. I specialize in a wide range of areas, including anger management, ADHD, autism spectrum support, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, children's and adolescent mental health, depression, family relationships, gender identity, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, medical issues, multicultural and diversity issues, narcissistic personality disorder, OCD, phobias, PTSD, intimate relationships, sleep disorders, stress, and trauma. “Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.” – bell hooks The healing journey can be an intimidating path, and you don’t have to travel it alone. I believe that the role of a therapist is to walk beside you on your healing path. My top priority is to create a safe, accepting space where you can explore your inner landscape and develop skills to navigate your outer world. I am a trauma-informed, intersectional feminist who cares deeply about helping clients reclaim their power and reconnect to their voice. In my person-centered, strengths-based therapeutic environment, I integrate EMDR, expressive writing and arts exercises, trauma-informed mindfulness techniques, and talk therapy to help you reconnect to yourself and your self-worth. (EMDR, briefly, is a well-researched therapeutic process which can support clients in processing trauma and building inner resources.) I am passionate about working with people who have experienced abusive relationships, sexual assault, grief and loss, chronic illness, and various traumas. I am also a queer person who loves supporting my community members. It can be hard to reach out for help. If you're ready to take the next step, I’m here to support you in your healing. Please reach out to schedule a free 30-minute consult if you would like to connect with me.

You deserve an empathetic, understanding, and empowering partner in care. Contact me today to start your healing journey with a therapist focused on transforming your mental health. I believe in supporting you with compassion and respect for your autonomy, which helps me be a collaborative and understanding partner in care. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals, build resilience, and create meaningful change through person-centered, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other tailored therapeutic approaches. As a former NCAA Division I athlete, I offer a unique perspective in supporting individuals, including athletes navigating both mental health and performance-related challenges. This perspective was built upon my own experience in seeking help for challenges as a college athlete, including anxiety and burnout after an injury, one that deepened my commitment to providing the unconditional, nonjudgmental care everyone deserves. In my practice now, I remain dedicated to bringing warmth, kindness, and understanding to each session, creating a space where you can explore and grow at your own pace. Staying active is important for the mind, body, and soul, whether I’m in or out of the office. When I’m not working, you’ll most often find me out on a run, spending time outdoors, exploring new places, and searching for the perfect cup of coffee.
Do you find yourself struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, addiction, or the impacts of trauma? I am a licensed therapist and addiction counselor dedicated to providing support to women and LGBTQ+ individuals, offering a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where clients can explore their experiences, identities, and mental health. With an understanding of the unique challenges faced by these groups, I am committed to empowering clients to live authentically and work through any obstacles they may encounter. I take a client-centered and holistic systems approach, which maintains that we all have the ability within ourselves to heal, and that our identities, environments, and experiences can have a big impact on our mental and physical well-being. I use a variety of clinical tools, including EMDR, to address the roots of problems, allowing you to move forward. I aim to leave clients feeling empowered by providing a supportive, safe, and affirming space where you can show up just as you are. There will likely be many times we laugh during session, or times where you need to cry, swear, or just rant - know that this is all welcome (and encouraged) on your journey to healing. I look forward to hearing from you!
I believe that in order to truly be able to help my clients I must always present as my authentic self. What that means is that you can expect me to share my honest thoughts and opinions, to be direct & concise, to incorporate humor as often as possible, and I won’t shy away from discomfort or conflict. While at the same time balancing that by providing you with unconditional positive regard, empathy, and support. I 100% believe that in order for therapy to be effective the client-therapist relationship must be genuine and both parties must carry mutual respect and trust for each other. This is something I strive to create and build-up starting from our first several interactions; as well as something I work hard to maintain up until our very last session. I am trauma informed therapist that specializes in working with professionals in the helping field (ie. first responders, educators, nurses, therapists, etc), with parents and children with behavioral issues, and have extensive experience working with BIPOC, immigrants, and AAPI communities. In our first session, we'll talk through what brought you in and get clear on what you want to walk away with — so we're aligned on what this space is for and what my role will be. Together we'll build a plan with intention and direction, not open-ended sessions that drift. Over time, the goal isn't just to feel less anxious or triggered. It's to trust yourself again, hold your story with compassion, and move through the world without needing to translate yourself.

I offer a safe and supportive space to explore these challenges, develop coping strategies, and build a more fulfilling college experience. Welcome, I'm glad you're here and walking your healing pathway. Therapy can be scary with fears of being judged over your thoughts and feelings. Those thoughts and feelings helped get you here but they may not be serving you anymore and you are seeking change. I have been helping people for 18 years by providing insight based therapy and I love when the healing starts to make changes in people's lives. I look forward to helping the healing process. I offer a judgement free environment (don't we do enough to ourselves already) where you can explore new ideas, thoughts and feelings along your journey.
Whether you're navigating the aftermath of trauma; finding your footing in a new city, state, or country; or sitting with grief, anxiety, or questions about who you are, you don't have to figure it out alone. As an LPC candidate with three years of experience, my work centers on helping people process trauma, move through major life transitions, and build lives that feel meaningful and aligned with their values. Survivors of trauma, sexual violence, domestic abuse, and natural disasters are at the heart of my practice, and so are immigrants and refugees working to build a new life in a new culture. Beyond trauma recovery, support is available for grief and loss; questions related to sex, sexuality, and relationships; and the very real anxiety that can come from living through climate change and other global stressors. Many of the people who come to me are trying therapy for the very first time, and finding practical, tangible ways to improve daily life is something we work toward together from the start. Therapy is also available in Spanish for those who prefer it. This is your process, and collaboration is at the center of everything we do together. The therapeutic space we build will be safe, transparent, and gently challenging – a place where growth feels possible without pressure. Drawing primarily from EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Therapy, my work is tailored to help you process trauma, reconnect with your body and values, and shift beliefs and patterns that are no longer serving you. When a particular approach or intervention seems useful, the reasoning behind it will always be shared with you, and your feedback shapes what comes next. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to help that self-expertise shine through, and to make sure the practical strategies we build together are ones you can actually use beyond our sessions to make lasting, meaningful improvements in your daily life. I know what it's like to not have all the answers right away. My path to becoming a therapist didn't begin until my mid-thirties, after years of different careers, different countries, and many different versions of the question “who am I?” Those years of exploration ultimately made it clearer than ever that this work is what was meant for me. All of these varied experiences and perspectives come into the room with us. More importantly, they inform how deeply committed I am to helping you sit with your own uncertainty, to recognize its value, and to use it as a starting point for moving toward your own internal wisdom. Creative expression is a big part of life outside the therapy room. Writing, watercolors, and pottery are longtime passions, and languages are another, always learning, always looking for opportunities to connect across cultures. Traveling and trying new foods (and then attempting to recreate them at home) bring a lot of joy, as does time spent with my cat, Ernie.

Hi there! We are an outpatient practice offering in-person and virtual appointments. We specialize in working with those navigating the tricky terrain of growing up—dealing with friendship shifts, school pressure, big emotions, and the journey of self-discovery. Many of the clients who find us describe themselves as high-performing yet often struggling with things such as: suspected or diagnosed ADHD, chronic anxiety, burnout, and who are seeking balance amidst life's demands. Their work often centers on identity exploration, navigating interpersonal relationships, building self-esteem, developing a more compassionate relationship with their bodies and food, and adapting to life transitions. Together, we explore how anxiety shows up, how boundaries can feel empowering, and what it looks like to build relationships (with yourself and others) that feel safe, reciprocal, and genuine. Wherever you are in your life journey, we are here to come along side you and support you in the next steps. We truly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. We encourage you to reach out for a consultation call to determine how we can best support you and answer any questions you might have about the therapy process.

Our mission is to provide quality mental health therapy and recovery services by offering individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults, group counseling, clinical supervision, and training. We are dedicated to resilience, connection, and engagement for the betterment of the community.
Healing is rarely a straight path, and having the right support can make all the difference. As a mental health therapist, my work centers on helping adults 18 and older from diverse backgrounds navigate the ways mental health shapes their personal, professional, and social lives, whether that means managing everyday stress or working through more complex challenges. My commitment is to meet you exactly where you are, as a collaborative partner on your therapeutic journey, to help you build the tools and insight needed to move forward. Together, we'll work toward the clarity, resilience, and hope you deserve. Compassionate, humorous, and guided by you — that's the foundation of how I show up for every person I work with. I believe deeply in the healing power of human connection, and getting to witness that unfold in practice is what drives me. At all times, you can expect a nonjudgmental space where laughter is always welcome alongside the harder conversations. My style is empathetic and adaptive, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Mindfulness-based approaches to strengthen your sense of well-being across all areas of life. Your unique goals, experiences, and needs shape the direction of our work together, because the most meaningful progress happens when care is truly tailored to you. My path to becoming a therapist began with first being a patient myself. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to seek support and the profound impact attentive, caring treatment can have on a person's life. Today, that lived experience informs every session I offer. Alongside my clinical training, it grounds me in empathy and authentic presence, and I'm just as eager to learn from your story as I am to share the tools that may help you write the next chapter. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me recharging through creative and outdoor pursuits. Drawing and painting offer a meditative outlet, while fishing and archery bring a welcome sense of patience and focus. Reading keeps my curiosity alive, and regular walks help me stay grounded, a practice I find just as valuable in everyday life as in the work we do together.
