You and your life isn’t one note. You are multifaceted and the demands you face happen to be as well – particularly when you are a student. Currently, the sound-track of your life has moved away from the sounds of a harmonious symphony -or maybe from an upbeat pop song- to something more unnerving and stressful (like the alarm you use to wake up to in the morning or the background music in a horror film—building tension, bracing yourself from some known or unknown threat). It makes sense that life has been overwhelming -increased responsibilities and life demands alone would contribute to this feeling. Add fears about the future, a recent breakup, challenging relationship dynamics with family, and/or other stressors and you might find yourself tipping the scales of your emotional bandwidth. I help students focus on the unique aspects of their lives that are no longer serving them – with empathy, tools, problem-solving, and emotional healing and growth. I believe you can have a richer and higher-quality of life– free from the overwhelming influence of your current life demands, harmful past experiences, poor modeling, and environmental toxicities (psychological). Hi! I'm glad you're here. Being a student is not just about learning whatever you're studying; it's also a dynamic time in your life. A time during which you may be learning about yourself and others through new experiences. You may be navigating familiar and unfamiliar challenges, some of which can impact your sense of well-being and your mental health. In my experience, we all need support at times in our lives to overcome obstacles, explore our choices, and to strengthen our relationship with ourselves and others. I am passionate about working with students struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship and family concerns, sexual assault, identity and self-esteem, career and academic struggle, grief and loss, and life transitions. Additionally, I have 5+ years working with students and professionals in the STEM field. Thank you for taking steps to address your mental health by looking into therapy. You deserve to live a life full of vitality.

Hannah DeWeerd
In the role of therapist, my initial priority is creating the safety and familiarity that is crucial to do real work together. I look at the therapeutic process as an opportunity to work with the person coming to me in need of support, and tackle their issues as a team. I bring a nonjudgmental, open-minded approach to my clients and emphasize the importance of clients feeling secure enough to say anything they need to in the space we curate together. My approach has an emphasis on self-compassion and becoming in tune with your emotions and body. In today’s world, it is easier than ever to become disconnected from your body and feelings. My hope is that we can work together to reintegrate your inner wisdom to your conscious level of awareness.
Dannah Moore at Holos Psychiatry
Hi, I'm Dannah, a psych NP and the founder of Holos Psychiatry. I have a holistic, compassionate, and empowering approach. Suzanne T Conversano
My practice begins with a kind, compassionate and safe introduction to the therapy process. We will explore what you want in your life and how to get there. Together we will follow your questions, concerns and goals, so you can discover new options. These are some of the questions we can explore. How can I make decisions that lead to a clear purpose? Why do I feel depressed? What is all this anxiety about? What can I do to feel better now? Drawing on eastern and western psychology, we will work together to develop the tools and inner resources to achieve your life goals including learning self compassion, and developing awareness of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors - through traditional talk therapy, mindfulness, creating art, and journaling. Please see my psychology today profile for more information and a complete list of insurance I accept.
