Therapists for college students near Atlanta, GA
Revelare Recovery is a Women’s PHP & IOP program designed to address co-occurring diagnoses of an Eating Disorder (ED) alongside a secondary Substance Use Disorder (SUD) or Mental Health diagnosis. It operates at the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) levels of care. One important aspect of this program is that it provides supportive housing for clients who reside outside of the Atlanta market. This housing arrangement ensures that clients have a safe and structured environment during their treatment period. Our supportive housing program consists of two phases: Phase 1, which lasts for 30 days and is conducted primarily in the PHP setting, and Phase 2, which lasts an additional 30 days and takes place primarily in the IOP setting. The program specifcally caters to women, recognizing their unique needs in the context of EDs and co-occurring disorders. By focusing exclusively on women, the program can tailor its treatment approaches to address the specific challenges and experiences that women may face.
Please note that I only see clients who are in Georgia. I am currently providing individual therapy virtually through a secure platform. Struggling with emotions, thoughts, behaviors? Wanting to make some changes? If you are seeking to address issues and stressors in your life, support and challenge in therapy may help. I have over twenty years of experience working with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns; much of my work has been with in university settings with college aged adults. I use a variety of techniques to help identify and change behaviors and thoughts that negatively impact your life. I generally see clients by appointment Monday through Thursday. During your first visit, I ask a variety of questions to get a broad view of your concerns, including your presenting issues, history, physical health, daily activities, social life, substance use, and other concerns. From that information we can determine goals for therapy and if we are a good fit. I will make suggestions if I think you need in-person or other services. I work with a wide range of psychological issues, and have significant experience working with women's issues and eating disorders . I have been trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy which has been found to be effective with eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. I also draw from other theoretical approaches to provide an individualized approach for each client based on their presenting issues, symptoms, values, goals, and history. I have experience working with diverse clients, from older adolescents through aged sixty-five, from a variety of ethnic, cultural, religious, socioeconomic and sexual identity backgrounds.
I help self-motivated young women “have it all” while managing the ups and downs of life. To “have it all” means something different for everyone. I help women redefine and create their own definition of “having it all” and set and achieve realistic goals. Too often we allow society to dictate our careers, marriage, and family. There is pressure to be the ideal candidate for employers and the ideal mate for a spouse. We try so hard to be an idealistic version of ourselves, yet somehow, we are left feeling dissatisfied or as if something is missing. We then point out and focus on every void in our lives (i.e. romantic relationship, dream job, great friends, etc.) and overlook what is good in our lives. I help women build confidence to create their own set of standards for their lives without guilt and shame. We work to dispel beliefs about who you should be and create a narrative of acceptance for who you are presently and who you are becoming.

Hi! I'm Rachel (She/her). I work with people navigating trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, neurodivergence (ADHD/Autism), and LGBTQ identity exploration—along with any big, messy questions about meaning, identity, and purpose. I celebrate all unique identities, values, and lived experiences that you bring into the therapy space. I am committed to upholding values of social justice and fostering advocacy in systems of oppression. Whatever your goal is, I hope to work with you to make a space that helps you feel valued and seen as a whole person. I see therapy as collaborative. We’ll work together to understand your patterns and build your self-trust. I feel honored to serve as a partner with you as we peel away the protective layers no longer serving you. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps increase psychological flexibility—supporting you in building a meaningful life even through hardship and pain. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns of overthinking, trying to “fix” their way out of emotions. My approach helps clients shift from analyzing to understanding. We create space for both self-compassion and meaningful change. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Process Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Relational-Cultural Therapy, depending on what best supports your needs, identities and therapy goals. I value authenticity in the therapy space and strive to create an environment where you feel safe to show up as your full self. My therapy style is relaxed, genuine, and laid-back, balancing humor and lightheartedness with sensitivity and empathy.

It can be one of the most difficult steps to make that first phone call for therapy. Typically, we are making that call when life feels the most stressful or when we are feeling at our most vulnerable. I strive to support the courage, strength, and determination involved in seeking support. Described by clients as caring, supportive, and warm, I believe each person possesses innate skills and strengths that can be utilized within therapy. I value strengths-based, person-in-environment, cognitive-behavioral, and motivational therapeutic approaches to support each individual’s intrinsic worth and value. I love working with adults, couples, and families to explore difficulties in coping emotionally, breaking the cycle of addiction or substance use, balancing life stressors, establishing self-esteem, setting healthy boundaries, and maintaining healthy relationships. I strive to help you find your voice, offer new coping skills, and explore presenting concerns within a non-judgmental and warm environment. Think we might be a good fit? Life can feel overwhelming, and it’s okay not to have all the answers. I offer a supportive space to explore your story and take steps toward meaningful change. I work with those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, perfectionist tendencies, and life transitions. Using an empowerment-based, CBT & DBT techniques, Adlerian, and family systems approach, I help clients build resilience, find clarity, and move forward with confidence. I have a special passion for supporting geeks, gamers, creatives, alternative individuals, neurodivergent, and LGBTQ+ clients who often feel like they don’t quite fit the mold. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with elements of geek therapy. At Hive Health, we believe healing is not one‑size‑fits‑all. Whether you’re a medical student carrying the weight of burnout, a young adult navigating life transitions, or a teen exploring your identity, you deserve care that sees the whole you. Like a hive, our well‑being is interconnected. When one part struggles, the whole system feels it. That’s why our approach is trauma‑informed, holistic, and culturally humble, addressing not just symptoms, but the deeper roots of stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout.
We work best with patients who are looking for personalized, attentive psychiatric care. Our providers combine careful medication management with brief psychotherapy, taking time at every visit to connect with you as a whole person. We don't believe in overmedicating. We believe in listening, asking the right questions, and finding the simplest, most effective path to you feeling well.
My job is about hope. I help students struggling with anxiety, depression, or stress. These symptoms can interfere with your schoolwork and wellness. Many of my former clients tell me that they were surprised and relieved to feel so much better after therapy. They were unsure if they would ever find relief from the challenges they had. That is why I do what I do. It is a joy to share in that journey of healing. I have found the most important thing is to tailor my approach to each person's specific needs. Therapy is not one size fits all. For example, I often find expressive arts to be helpful when overcoming trauma. I also have a special place in my heart for those who struggle with eating disorders and self harm.
