I offer holistic therapy to help students escape the veil of anxiety and live with authenticity. Students I work with struggle with complex emotions. Despite being intelligent, hard-working, and having a witty sense of humor, life isn’t all rainbows and sunshine. When they first come to see me, they are exhausted by the never ending loop of “what if” scenarios and often find themselves trying to be perfect or pretend that they "have it all together." If you’re ready to drop anxiety and find self-compassion, I'm your gal. We will work together in reclaiming your inner knowing, finding your voice, and living your most authentic life.

I am a lover of liminal spaces. To me, the liminal, the “in-between”, is a space of great possibility. It lies at the edge of certainty and uncertainty. It beckons us to drop what we think we know and be with what is actually present. My identities and life experiences give me a sense of being “in-between.” I’m a gender fluid, Puerto Rican person who grew up in the diaspora. I grew up in a military family and spent my childhood moving from place to place. As an adult, I continued to move, spending years living and working in the Pacific Islands and Latin America. I explore liminal spaces in my exploration of fiber art, as well as in my music. I love to create new combinations of seemingly opposing elements, whether that is an innovative way of weaving or creating a folksy version of a salsa song. As a therapist, my “in-between” experiences reinforce my belief that when we can stay present in the place of flux, of uncertainty, then change and transformation is possible. I have spent over 8 years providing somatic, present-moment focused, and intuitive psychotherapy to survivors of sexual violence, sexual abuse and individuals experiencing grief. I combine extensive training in Gestalt therapy, Internal Family Systems, psychedelic-assisted therapy and mindfulness-based interventions to aid clients in creating lives they love. My activism and commitment to social justice come to bear in years of experience in community mental health. I believe that personal healing is bound in collective healing, that we are all threads in the larger tapestry of life. Through my practice, I aim to empower individuals to invest in their wholeness, health, and joy, recognizing that we are all the medicine we need.

If this resonates with you as you seek to find support, you’re in exactly the right place and I’m so glad you’re here. I believe that connection is the basis of healing so I prioritize creating a safe and nurturing therapeutic space, where we work together to heal your relationship with others and, most importantly, with yourself. When we are facing life stressors, we often focus on addressing the immediate symptoms. This can be very adaptive. However, if we only ever focus on the immediate symptoms of our struggles, then we may never recognize or have the possibility of healing the cause of our pain. I believe that therapy provides a powerful space to explore, understand, and ultimately heal the root causes of our struggles. I approach my work with insight from a variety of therapeutic frameworks, including Narrative Therapy, IFS, Solution Focused Therapy, & Attachment Theory. I am also formally trained in EMDR which I can incorporate into therapy. I approach therapy with an anti-oppressive lens to assist clients dealing with the impacts of homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism, and misogyny and am versed in supporting individuals with a wide range of challenges, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Bipolar, and chronic pain. I come to my work not merely as an outsider with expertise, but as a neurodivergent and transgender individual myself who has lived experience navigating many of the issues I work to help others heal from. It has been my privilege to help a wide variety of clients, and I look forward to learning how I can help you too!

Are You Looking For A Therapist Who Will Involve Your Entire Being, Mind, Body and Soul, in Your Healing Journey? There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. With that, I utilize yoga practices to help guide you to integrate your mind and body. Unlike talk therapy, where we explore your thoughts and feelings on a topic or event, Yoga + Therapy encourages you to feel the body sensations that hold wisdom about that topic or event. Your body has an opinion, it's time to listen to it! I specialize in working with women and BIPOC - two groups I identify with and deeply care about. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and yoga teacher with specific training in trauma-informed practices. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life. If you are looking for traditional talk therapy only, I integrate meditation and mindfulness in sessions to help you further explore areas in your life. I am an Out of Network Provider (Self Pay/Private Pay). Please visit my website www.mindbodysoulcounseling.com to learn more about my practice and schedule a free 15 minute consultation call. I can't wait to work with you! There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. I emphasize the importance of being comfortable in your own body. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life.
